New Job

I just wanted to post that I have just started a great new job were I am working from home so I don't have to move or have anyone else take care of my animals.

I will be performing bookkeeping and accounting services online for a company that is based in Billings MT. This is an actual job, not an Internet scam, for all of those who are leery of the idea of working online. This is a great opportunity for me to continue in the accounting field but still allows me to continue training and raising quality show animals.

Giving a Pet for Christmas

It is getting to be that time of year again when we are starting to really think about what to get people for Christmas. Getting a pet may at first seem like a good idea but you should always do your research and make sure that the pet you are going to introduce to your family is right for your family. When deciding to get a pet for a Christmas present you should consider what is involved in the care, who is really going to be taking care of the new pet after the excitement wears off, and what are the pets requirements to remain healthy and happy.
I have posted a couple links to help start your decision on getting a pet and what is involved in the care. More will be posted soon...

Getting Ready for Winter Already?!?!?

Well it feels like summer just started and already I find the minis are getting fuzzy and the leaves are all over the yard and the water hoses have already started freezing on me..... What happened to summer.

Well my summer took an interesting turn and I was busy riding on a guest ranch in Cameron, MT. However I was very busy and a few things seemed to get forgot about like keeping all of you updated on the events here at the ranch. Well I will do better now...

Here are a few pics of the babies this year. Soon it will be foaling season again.... there is never enough time to prepare anymore... :)

Calving Season

Well calving season has started and I feel like a walking zombie most of the time.... My poor husband gets up every few hours to check on calves, and we haven't even got to the peak of it yet. It is rewarding seeing all the baby calves up and playing and even helping one suckle for the first time. I have to admit though I am scared to death of a moma cow, there is just not much comparison between a 1200 pound cow and a 125 pound person. I am getting better but still very cautous.......

Baby Chins are Here

We have had our first baby chins of the year born 1-11. Both are boys, one tan and one ebony. They are sooo tiny and cute. We are expecting several more babies any day now!!!! We also have baby sugar gliders that are getting very close to coming out of the pouch. They are sooo cute when they come out of the pouch.

These are the last babies I had and are about 3 weeks out of pouch.

I am sooo excited for foaling season to get here. Its only 4 months away!!!! I have gone from having one due to having 5 and hopefully getting 5 more mares that are due as well. We have started calving which is always fun except the cows aren't as willing to let you love on their babies.....
